Breathtaking nature is what you will experience as you tour our interactive, live exhibits including the largest indoor nocturnal frog exhibit in the world, an amazing butterfly garden where you will be surrounded by the famous blue Morpho butterflies, and a state-of-the-art reptile vivarium. You will have the opportunity to observe a genuine biological research station managed by the renowned National Institute of Biodiversity (INBio). You may even be lucky enough to witness the discovery of a new plant or animal species – INBio discovers them almost every day!
Then drive to the Tortuguero Canals boat tour, you will admire the vibrant rainforest with the help of your naturalist guide who will point out different types of unique tropical plants, like orchids, bromeliads, water lilies, and many others. Be alert to spot the birdlife along the riverbank as well as other animals such as caimans, turtles, monkeys, and sloths, just a sample of the biodiversity present around you.
